Stein is CEO of Sluyter Company Ltd., a Canadian chemical manufacturer serving the plumbing industry and producing industrial aerosols. She joined the company after leaving retail and has described her role as focused on scaling the organization following substantial investment in manufacturing capacity. [4]
Before Sluyter, Stein spent about 15 years at Henry’s and nearly a decade as CEO. She led the company through restructuring during the COVID-19 pandemic and remained through its transition to new ownership before stepping down in 2024. [5][4]
Earlier in her career, Stein worked in corporate social responsibility and ESG investing, including work with the United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a master’s degree in international development from the University of Sussex. [5]
