Massicotte was among the first 12 students at the École nationale de l’humour when the school opened in 1988. Early in his career, he toured with Juste pour rire and opened shows for Céline Dion. [3][2]
He went on to present multiple solo comedy shows and starred in the television series 450, chemin du Golf, which ran for seven years. [3]

- Massicotte has publicly identified himself as having bipolar disorder. In a 2007 interview, he said the condition had been diagnosed about five years earlier. [1]
- Massicotte has used comedy to speak openly about bipolar disorder and reduce stigma around mental illness. In 2007, while serving as a spokesperson for Revivre, he explained that bringing bipolar disorder into his act was a way to make mental illness feel less frightening and less taboo. [1]
