Sara Schley is a consultant, entrepreneur and author of the memoir BrainStorm: From Broken to Blessed on the Bipolar Spectrum. She is also a co-writer and co-producer of BrainStorm, a documentary inspired by her memoir. [3][4]

Career and work

Schley co-founded Seed Systems with Joe Laur in 1994 and serves as its CEO. Seed Systems works with organizations on systems thinking, organizational learning and sustainability; its clients have included EILEEN FISHER, Nike, MIT and Ben & Jerry’s, as well as organizations in the nonprofit, government and academic sectors. In 1998, Schley and Laur co-founded the SoL Sustainability Consortium. Her work with the consortium contributed to The Necessary Revolution: How Individuals and Organizations Are Working Together to Create a Sustainable World, which she co-authored with Peter Senge, Bryan Smith, Nina Kruschwitz and Laur. She later wrote Secrets of the 7th Day: How Everyone Can Find Renewal Through the Wisdom and Practices of the Sabbath. [4]

Schley is also the author of BrainStorm: From Broken to Blessed on the Bipolar Spectrum, a memoir about her experience with bipolar disorder. The book later became the basis for BrainStorm, a documentary for which she serves as a co-writer and co-producer. [4][3]
